Global G.A.P.

(Good Agricultural Practices) is an internationally recognized certification that ensures agricultural products are produced safely and sustainably. This certification covers a wide range of standards that guarantee good agricultural practices across various areas: Food Safety, Environmental Sustainability, Worker Welfare, Integrated Pest Management and agrochemical use, and Traceability.

Rainforest Alliance

Rainforest Alliance ensures that bananas and plantains are produced on farms that meet strict environmental, social, and economic standards, promoting responsible and sustainable agricultural practices. RFA focuses on: Environmental sustainability, social responsibility, economic resilience, and climate change mitigation.

SMETA

(Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) audits proper labor standards, health and safety, environmental performance, and business ethics within operations.

US FDA Registration

Registration of fruit production operations with the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) is part of the U.S. regulatory requirements designed to ensure the safety and traceability of food products, including fresh fruit, entering the U.S. market. This registration focuses on: fruit safety compliance, traceability, FDA oversight, and immediate contact with the operating company when needed.

Sanitary License from the Guatemalan Ministry of Health

The sanitary license is a permit issued by the national health department that allows a business to operate within specific health regulations. This license is essential for businesses that process food that comes into contact with the human body.

Environmental Licenses from Guatemala's MARN

(Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources) Official document issued following a full environmental impact and risk assessment of the project.
